7.Coral Princess, Day Four - Off to Townsville

Last day! Because we are such a small group, we were treated to a special, extra excursion to Magnetic Island. Early in the morning, we boarded the "glassie" for the last time and headed over to a fantastic beach on the island. The plan was to climb the rocks up to a fresh water waterfall and have our morning shower!




The rock climbing was a bit tough, but worth the effort. Then we strolled on the beach, watched some beautiful birds (parrots?) and then headed back to the boat.


A final breakfast, wonderful as all the meals were, then final packing. Lindsay and I sat on the front deck and watched as we arrived at the port in Townsville.

Now we are in Townsville, hanging out at the internet cafe before exploring a bit as we wait for our train, the Sunlander, to Brisbane. Can't wait to find out what it's like to spend 24 hours on a train, sleeper car and all!
